Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • parsley, chili flakes & parmesan optional

Equipment

  • 1 saucepan strainer or tongs

Method

  1. Cook pasta per package directions. Save ½ cup pasta water.
  2. In a pan, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté 1–2 minutes.
  3. Add drained pasta to the pan. Toss well.
  4. Season and serve with toppings of choice.

Notes

  • You can add red pepper flakes for a little spicy kick — just enough to warn your tastebuds something good is coming.
  • No fresh garlic? Garlic powder will do in a pinch, but don’t tell any Italian grandmothers.
  • Leftovers? Reheat with a splash of water or a little extra butter and it’s like day one all over again.
  • Optional but encouraged: top with Parmesan, fresh parsley, or your deepest secrets.
  • Pairs well with: lazy Tuesday nights, reality TV, and someone who says “this is restaurant quality” after every bite.
